SlidesCarnival- A cool tool for Google Slides and Power Point

SlidesCarnival is one of those really cool tools that no one seems to know about. I have been using it for about two years and I just assumed that it was one of those universal tools that is so simple to use that everyone a) knew about it and b) was using it. I assumed incorrectly. I can't count the number of times that I've been presenting and someone asks me where I got my cool Slides theme. I even saw a Twitter post from someone I know and respect as a leader in the field of educational technology asking if anyone knew how to "jazz up" Google Slides. Another very knowledgeable Google techie was using Google Drawings to give her Google Slides a fresh look. So, long story short, I have learned to never assume that "everyone" knows about a tool just because it's simple to use.

SlidesCarnival is a website that offers free downloadable themes/templates for Google Slides and Power Point. Each theme/template comes with unique colors, fonts, and icons to make your presentations even more visually appealing. Each theme or template includes an instructions slide on how to edit inside the theme/template, a slide with font and color information for the techies that like to build/customize on their own, as well as a slide with the proper information to give credit to the creator of the theme/template. There are dozens of themes/templates sorted into several categories to help you find a theme/template that is perfect for your purpose.

My students were very excited when I introduced them to SlidesCarnival because they were getting very tired of using, and looking at, the same Slides themes over and over.
